Dr. Randhir Kumar is an internationally recognized educationist, institution builder, human rights leader, author, social entrepreneur and reformer, and public intellectual from India. Born on 25 February 1995 in Naitand Village, Giridih District, Jharkhand, to Shri Dindayal Prasad and Smt. Savitri Devi, he has devoted his life to advancing education, research, human rights, leadership, public service, and social transformation.
From his childhood, Dr. Kumar displayed exceptional academic ability, leadership qualities, intellectual curiosity, and a deep commitment to learning. A dynamic and meritorious student, he consistently secured top positions throughout his school education and actively participated in academic, literary, cultural, and social activities. His outstanding academic performance earned him the prestigious Jharkhand State Medha Scholarship awarded by the Government of Jharkhand through the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) after qualifying in a highly competitive state-level examination.
The values that shaped Dr. Kumar's life were deeply influenced by his family and mentors. He draws profound inspiration from Shri Dineshwar Verma, an eminent educationist, retired Principal of Government T.K.N.K. (+2) High School, Janta Jaridih, Giridih, and recipient of the Government's Best Teacher Award, whose dedication to education and discipline inspired his lifelong commitment to academic excellence and institution building.
Driven by an unwavering pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Kumar completed his Five-Year Integrated Master's Degree in English from the Central University of Jharkhand, one of India's premier Central Universities. During his university years, he actively engaged in academic research, student leadership, literary activities, and community outreach, demonstrating a rare ability to combine scholarly excellence with social commitment.
Further broadening his interdisciplinary academic perspective, he completed a Certificate Course in Media and International Relations offered by the Department of International Relations, Central University of Jharkhand, where he submitted a dissertation titled "Strategic Relations between India and Nepal." This academic work reflected his growing interest in diplomacy, regional cooperation, international relations, media studies, and foreign policy.
His academic journey culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English Literature, where his doctoral research, "Gynocritical Discussion on the Selected Novels of Anita Nair," explored feminist literary discourse, gender studies, and contemporary Indian English literature. He is also recognized as the first Ph.D. scholar to be awarded a doctoral degree by RKDF University, Jharkhand, marking a significant academic milestone.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Kumar has consistently believed that education extends beyond classrooms and examinations. Alongside his academic pursuits, Dr. Kumar gained valuable administrative and governance experience while serving as Personal Assistant to the Hon'ble Governor of Jharkhand. This role provided him with extensive exposure to constitutional governance, higher education administration, public policy, institutional coordination, and government functioning, collaborating closely with prominent figures like Prof. E. Balagurusamy.
Dr. Kumar has also served as Guest Faculty at Ranchi University, and has been invited as Keynote Speaker, Resource Person, and Expert Lecturer by universities, government institutions, constitutional bodies, and professional organizations across India.
